In the Rudabai stepwells of Adalaj, Gujarat, a striking convergence occurs at the juncture of the stair and wall, where six majestic octagonal balconies gracefully intersect with the tranquil waters below. Here, the gaze is met with the captivating sight of over sixty columns, each of four distinct varieties, standing tall amidst architectural splendor. Gazing upwards from the depths of the well, one beholds the mesmerizing spectacle of an intricate actahedron fractal, a visual marvel that transcends the bounds of ordinary perception. Immortalized in this artwork, the ethereal beauty of this fractal pattern invites contemplation and wonder. Queen Rudabai's vision for the stepwell was one of timeless elegance, imbued with classical mouldings and adhering to the sacred architectural principles outlined in the shilpa shastras texts.
